About Taco-topia

Explore the delicious world of tacos in through this illustrated cookbook. California native Deborah Kaloper goes far beyond the taco basics. This book investigates the iconic Mexican street food, adding some delicious new ideas to fill corn and flour tortillas (and your belly). Of course, Deborah hasn’t forgotten to include classics and much-loved favourites like Baja fish tacos, blackened chipotle chicken, smoky pulled pork and jalapeño tacos, and slow-cooked braised bean tacos. Also, if you’re inclined, Taco-topia also includes recipes for creating your own salsas and hot sauces from scratch.

Taco-topia proves that tacos are super versatile, easy to whip up, and even easier to eat. What’s not to love? With bold illustrations and incredible recipes throughout, this is the most unique taco book you will ever own.

About the author

Alice Oehr is a designer and illustrator from Melbourne, Australia.

Deborah Kaloper is a California-raised, Melbourne-based sought-after food stylist, prop stylist and recipe developer. Her passion for all things food started at the age of six with her first cookbook given to her by her grandmother, Nonie. A former breakfast and pastry chef, Deb works daily with top photographers, chefs, food writers and brands, styling their food for books, magazines and advertising. In her down-time you can find her up early walking along the ocean to catch the sunrise and trying to perfect her Nonie’s Croatian Easter bread.
